Located in Preston, Lancashire, Rainbow Dust offers an extensive range of food colorings, paints, lustre dusts, glitters, and various decorations. Additionally, the company produces an array of sugar craft additives, including texturisers, icing whiteners, and edible glues.

Recently, Rainbow Dust acquired Squires Kitchen for an undisclosed amount. This acquisition introduces Squires Kitchen’s products such as sugarpaste, icing powders, and cocoa butter colorings into Rainbow Dust’s inventory. Consequently, this expanded offering provides bakers, sugarcrafters, and chocolatiers with a comprehensive selection of high-quality ingredients to fulfill their creative needs.

Both brands will continue to operate under their respective names, with manufacturing consolidated at Rainbow Dust’s Preston facility.

This strategic acquisition marks the second initiative in a series of planned moves by the Albex Group, which purchased Rainbow Dust from AIM-listed Real Good Food PLC in November of last year.

“Squires Kitchen and Rainbow Dust are a perfect fit,” commented Louise Wane, managing director of Rainbow Dust.

“We’re both long-standing and passionate supporters of the cake, sugarcraft, and chocolatier communities. We’re both obsessive about quality and constantly pushing the boundaries of innovation. And we’re both British brands committed to manufacturing our products ourselves in the UK.”

“Together we now offer customers everything they need to craft magical creations, from sugarpaste to colorings, to sparkles and decorations. This is the next step in an exciting journey, and we’re looking forward to making further announcements about other initiatives in the pipeline in 2025.”
