Granarolo UK, a subsidiary of Granarolo S.p.A, Italy, is excited to announce the construction of a new head office and distribution center in Willenhall, West Midlands. This initiative is powered by a substantial £10m investment.

This investment comes in response to a fire in 2023 that necessitated the need for new infrastructure. Moreover, it allows for a significant expansion of the facility’s footprint, accommodating future development.

Additionally, the site will serve as an operational base for Midland Chilled Foods, a subsidiary and wholesaler.

The new facility is designed to enhance operational efficiency while improving customer engagement. It will feature advanced storage and distribution capabilities for frozen, chilled, and ambient products, providing space for over 4,500 pallets.

Furthermore, the facility will include modern office spaces for the team and a dedicated new product development and test kitchen. This kitchen aims to become a hub for innovative customer presentations and collaborations.

“We are thrilled to unveil our plans for this new facility, which underscores our commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability,” stated Anthony Bosco, CEO of Granarolo UK.

“This investment not only propels our operational capabilities forward but also allows us to better serve our clients and engage with them in meaningful ways.”

Sustainability remains a priority at the new site, with various environmental initiatives integrated into its construction. Notably, the installation of solar panels is projected to reduce the company’s carbon dioxide emissions by more than 50 tonnes annually, reflecting our dedication to a greener future.

The new head office is scheduled to open in Q4 of this year, marking an important milestone in food manufacturing for Granarolo UK.
