Pladis Expands McVitie’s Hobnobs Lineup

Pladis is excited to announce the launch of new cookie additions to its best-selling McVitie’s Hobnobs range. These include the McVitie’s Hobnobs Oaty Cookies in Milk Chocolate Flavour Chips and Dark Chocolate Flavour Chips.

According to Eleonore de Saint Perier, brand manager at pladis UK&I, this decision stems from identifying “a clear gap in the cookies market for a differentiated eating experience.” By recognizing this opportunity, pladis aims to enhance its product offerings.

Furthermore, de Saint Perier emphasizes that “Hobnobs is perfectly placed to deliver this through its brand equity and delicious oats.” This beloved and trusted brand holds significant appeal among consumers under 35, as noted in recent Nielsen NIQ and Kantar data from August 2024.

Moreover, consumer testing revealed that the rustic, home-made appearance of Hobnobs Cookies, combined with the ‘Hob-nobbly’ texture of wholemeal oats, captivated testers. They appreciated the unique qualities that set these cookies apart from anything else available on the market.
