Multivac has recently unveiled its new innovation centre, following extensive renovations that started in January 2023. The 850m^2 facility has been transformed from a showroom into a cutting-edge space designed to foster new product development and facilitate a better understanding of optimum product conditions for Multivac’s customers.

The renovated space features a dedicated area where equipment of all sizes can be run to support the development of new products. Additionally, there is a temperature-controlled room that replicates factory environments, enabling Multivac’s team to conduct product trials. With fully operational processing and packaging lines on display, visitors can witness firsthand the capabilities of Multivac’s equipment. Furthermore, a supermarket area showcases key trends and innovations, while a test kitchen and meeting space provide the ideal setting for discussions.

During the grand opening of the innovation centre, Food Manufacture had the opportunity to experience a comprehensive line demonstration. The showcased machines included high-performance portioning, cutting, slicing, and packaging equipment. Notable models presented were the Traysealers from the TX 6 series, the W 500 Flowrapper, and a more compact range consisting of the T 255 Traysealers, R 085 Thermoformer, and B 425 Vacuum Chamber Machine.

Bernd Hopner, Multivac’s Chief Sales Officer, emphasized the company’s focus on providing “total solutions” rather than just “enablers.” While Multivac offers a range of single machines, it prioritizes full lines to meet the evolving needs of its customers.

Multivac’s recent innovation centre renovation reflects the group’s healthy growth of 8.7% over the past year. With a presence in 182 segments, 14 production sites, and serving 165 countries, the company has proven its resilience during both the 2008/9 financial crash and the recent challenges faced globally.

Looking ahead, Multivac aims to concentrate on new product development and diversification, exploring both market segments and new regions to further expand its business.

Overall, the new innovation centre stands as a testament to Multivac’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions and supporting its customers’ success.
