Introducing the New Ishida TSC-AS In-Line Seal Tester for Snacks and Other Dry Product Packs
Ishida Europe is proud to announce the launch of their latest innovation in food and drink packaging – the Ishida TSC-AS. This advanced seal tester combines high precision seal integrity testing with efficient production speeds of up to 150 packs per minute, ensuring excellent quality control for manufacturers in the retail sector.
With its ability to detect even the smallest apertures of 3mm, the TSC-AS offers reliable leak detection and checks for incorrect inflation and double packs, using non-destructive, inline testing. Its compact design allows for easy installation, seamlessly integrating into existing production lines.
When integrated with an Ishida packing line, the TSC-AS can connect with both the bagmaker and casepacker. Ishida’s user-friendly ITPS 2 software provides complete in-line control and access to each machine from one central point, facilitating fast and error-free product changeovers without the need for skilled operators.
The TSC-AS not only measures air pressure and fill level but also feeds back this data to automatically adjust the jaws of the Ishida bagmaker, ensuring consistent pack thickness. Additionally, the seal tester can feed-forward air-fill data to the Ishida 700 series case packer, preventing misfeeds and guaranteeing the correct number of bags in each case.
Featuring an advanced HMI touch screen, the TSC-AS offers intuitive operation similar to smartphones. This screen not only enables quick setup and changeovers but also provides real-time production data, alerting operators to any potential issues for immediate action, thus minimizing waste and unscheduled downtime.
In terms of design, the TSC-AS boasts an enhanced gull wing cover for fast access without interfering with adjacent equipment. Its open frame construction eliminates flat surfaces, ensuring easy cleaning and preventing product trapping. Furthermore, programmable settings for the in-feed belt support automatic adjustment for different pack lengths, streamlining product changeovers. Independent belt controls ensure proper alignment and spacing of packs before inspection.
For optimal product thickness measurements, conditioning brushes can be added to gently agitate and smooth out product inside the bag before inspection.
