Kim Clarkson has been appointed to the position of Director of Formats and Brand Development at Nisa. In this role, she will be responsible for shaping the future direction of Nisa formats and developing the brand. Her goal is to maintain a high level of service through stock control, logistics, and supply chain functions, while also delivering a best-in-class partner support service.
Clarkson joined Nisa in 2017 and brings over 20 years of experience within the retail and wholesale sectors. Her most recent role was Head of Cost to Serve, where she focused on identifying opportunities to improve profitability. Prior to that, she held the position of Head of Fresh, Frozen and Direct-to-Store.
In her new role, Kim will be supported by Karen Hopkinson, who has recently been appointed to head up Nisa’s independent supply chain and logistics network. Hopkinson will also be responsible for managing the relationship with the delivery partner, DHL.
Peter Batt, Managing Director of Nisa, expressed his confidence in the new appointments, stating, “Both Kim and Karen bring a wealth of experience across wholesale, retail, and logistics. They have played a key part in strengthening both the Co-op and Nisa proposition and will be instrumental in helping to shape and deliver on our ambitions to be the wholesale partner of choice.”
Batt further emphasized that the decisions made by Nisa are centered around their retailers. He believes that the work Kim will be leading, alongside the improved management team and strong support from Co-op, will position Nisa to achieve their long-term ambitions.
