Kettle is making a noteworthy comeback in the meat-flavored crisp category with an exciting new addition: Aberdeen Angus Ribeye Steak & Peppercorn in their Krinkle line. This flavor reflects a deliberate strategy aimed at younger consumers who are on the lookout for richer and more indulgent snacking options.
The introduction bolsters Kettle’s commitment to meat-based innovation, tapping into the growing demand for premium flavors within the snack industry. This latest offering enhances the existing Krinkle range, known for its deep ridges and thicker cuts that provide intense seasoning. By featuring authentic beef and emphasizing the Aberdeen Angus Ribeye’s origins, Kettle is positioning this crisp variant as a luxurious choice among ridged snacks.
Currently, meat flavors rank as the second-largest segment in the crisp market, trailing only behind salt. This presents an opportunity for Kettle to elevate its product offerings. Consumer feedback reveals encouraging results, indicating that the new flavor surpasses key competitors in terms of overall appeal and likelihood of purchase.
Kettle’s Krinkle range serves as a platform for vibrant and imaginative product developments. The latest flavor is crafted to deliver a robust texture and impactful taste that captivates youthful consumers who favor bold flavors and a premium experience.
Michael Inpong, the Chief Marketing Officer at Valeo Foods UK, stated, “This launch is all about bringing a gourmet, provenance-led meat flavor to our ridged range, offering an even more indulgent experience for Kettle Chips fans.”
To enhance visibility for the new product, Kettle will feature 40g bags at stadiums during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. This collaboration is targeted at a diverse, younger audience and reinforces the “bold krunch” branding of the Krinkle line. Furthermore, such activations are designed to engage fans during significant cultural moments, amplifying the brand’s presence beyond typical retail environments.
The rollout for these Kettle meat-flavored crisps will commence on May 25, making them available in wholesale and impulse channels. Additionally, a Tesco-exclusive launch of the 130g sharing bag will take place in July, with further listings planned for Ocado in May, Asda in June, and Morrisons in October.
