Bfresh Spitiko currently offers three sets of juice products packaged in glass bottles, emphasizing quality and sustainability in the food and drink industry.
In a strategic collaboration with DS Smith, Bfresh Spitiko has successfully transitioned from traditional wooden trays to innovative materials, such as polystyrene foam or air cushions. This change enhances the protection of their glass bottles during transportation while prioritizing eco-friendliness.
The newly developed packaging features fiber-based corrugated cardboard, which not only boasts a robust and compact design but also presents a luxurious look and feel. This advancement aligns perfectly with the growing consumer demand for sustainable packaging solutions in the food and drink sector.
Additionally, the corrugated cardboard casing incorporates a QR code that directs consumers to Bfresh Spitiko’s e-commerce platforms, seamlessly integrating modern marketing strategies with sustainable packaging.
Vasilis Roubis, chief executive and founder of Bfresh Spitiko, stated: “We have loved the whole process of working with DS Smith to develop this new sustainable packaging solution for these popular ecommerce products, and we are proud to have shared in this expertise. We want to ensure that our packaging is of the best quality possible, and our customers expect us to meet these high standards too.”
George Filippoglou, cluster managing director of the packaging division at DS Smith, added: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with V. Roubis and Bfresh Spitiko on this innovative packaging solution. Our fiber-based corrugated cardboard alternative has transformed the product casing, making it not only more compact and sustainable, but also easier to transport. It’s a fantastic result, and customers can instantly recognise these products with a sense of quality and sustainability.”
This collaboration exemplifies the evolving landscape of food and drink marketing and consumer trends that prioritize sustainability. By focusing on innovative, eco-friendly packaging, businesses are not only meeting customer expectations but are also contributing to the broader movement towards food and drink sustainability.
