Chris Dawks has moved into the role of director of manufacturing at meals provider apetito, after serving as general manager of the company’s manufacturing operations since 2018.
In his previous position, he was responsible for overall manufacturing performance across the business, with oversight of quality, operational efficiency and customer service.
Dawks brings more than 25 years of experience across food manufacturing, pharmaceutical production and the wider FMCG sector. His previous senior roles include managing director of CDIM Ltd, interim head of engineering at Dairy Crest and interim site general manager at Kinnerton Confectionery Co Ltd.
“I’m delighted to take on the role of director of manufacturing. Having worked closely with our manufacturing teams over the past eight years, I’ve seen first-hand the passion, expertise and commitment that exists across the business,” Dawks commented.

As part of the appointment, Dawks will take a seat on apetito’s UK executive board.
According to apetito, the leadership change supports its efforts to respond to changing consumer requirements while advancing the company’s growth strategy and longer-term objectives.
The announcement comes after the business received planning permission for its new food production facility, ‘Kitchen West’ at the Canal Road Industrial Estate in Trowbridge. Apetito is the town’s largest private-sector employer, with around 670 of its 2,000 UK employees located there.
