The Flipz brand expands with new limited-edition cinnamon bun flavor

Fast-growing Flipz brand now includes a limited-edition cinnamon bun flavour

Tapping into the UK’s growing demand for cinnamon treats (+59.5% since 2016 and showing no signs of slowing down), Flipz introduces its latest offering, Cinnamon Bun Flavour, as the brand continues to attract shoppers seeking the latest trending flavors.

The new product will be launched in a 90g sharing pouch (RRP: £1.65) and an 80g PMP (RRP: £1.25) starting from 12th June at Co-op and NISA stores, with further distribution planned in the near future.

Featuring the familiar crunchy and salty Flipz pretzels coated in a delectable cinnamon bun flavor, pladis aims to excite current customers and entice new ones to try the brand.

“UK’s consumption of cinnamon products has surged by 59.5% since 2016, driven partly by the rise of specialty bakeries offering cinnamon buns,” says Adam Woolf, pladis UK&I. “With a projected 14% CAGR for cinnamon products through to 2027, now is the perfect time for us to introduce the Flipz Cinnamon Bun Flavour.”

With a current value of £12.7m and a growth rate of +7.6% in total retail, Flipz has been one of the standout snack brands in recent years, gaining popularity for its range of flavors. Since its UK debut in 2018, the brand’s success has been remarkable, with variants such as Milk Chocolate, Cookies & Cream, Peanut Butter, and Salted Caramel capturing consumer interest.

“Recognized by snack enthusiasts for its innovation, Flipz has seen strong performance in convenience stores, with double-digit growth rates of +30% in value and +18% in volume,” adds Woolf.

The limited-edition Flipz Cinnamon Bun Flavour will be first available at Co-op and NISA starting from 12th June, with plans for further expansion into convenience stores and wholesale outlets. The 90g sharing pouch will be priced at £1.65, while the 80g PMP will be available for £1.25.
