Costs of becoming a member: Londis operates on a zero-cost model, meaning there are no upfront charges or fees associated with joining.

What financial packages or credit terms do you offer?
As part of the sign-up process, credit terms are agreed upon. Through our added-value services, we provide access to various finance and leasing suppliers, providing retailers with flexible options.

Minimum length of contract: Members are required to commit to a minimum contract length of three years.

Do you offer a trading area agreement? Londis offers a trading agreement based on catchment area. This provides members with exclusivity within a specific radius.

Minimum drop requirement: To ensure efficient operations, a minimum drop of 125 cases is required when ordering goods.

What options do retailers have for ordering goods? Retailers can place orders using a till-based EPoS system or a web/order gun, providing convenience and flexibility.

How many own-label lines do you have listed and what are the own-label ranges? We offer a wide selection of own-label products, including more than 800 lines across Euro Shopper and Jack’s, as well as own-label spirits and wines.

What arrangements do you have for fresh produce and chilled and frozen foods? Londis boasts an extensive range of more than 2,000 fresh and chilled lines, encompassing both own-label and branded options. How many of your retailers have EPoS and how do you encourage them to take on new technology packages? Our membership requirements include the use of an EPoS system. Londis is compatible with various EPoS systems, as long as they can connect to our gateway. We also offer a free EPoS system, subject to terms and conditions, to further incentivize the adoption of new technology.

Do you invest in consumer advertising? Yes, we actively invest in consumer advertising to support our retailers. Londis provides a comprehensive POS (Point of Sale) kit, which includes posters, shelf cards, stack cards, and leaflets for each promotion.

What promotions do you offer? Throughout the year, Londis runs a robust promotion programme. This includes a “Wow Deal,” seven “Mega Deals,” as well as a set of four deals on fresh fruit and vegetables. Additionally, we have a core promotional programme and extensive “everyday low prices” to enhance the value provided to retailers. Optional promotions and margin-booster opportunities are also available.

What category management help can you provide? At Londis, we offer comprehensive category management support. This includes providing pictorial planograms for all store types and regular category advice on our website and through retailer bulletins. Our dedicated store development team ensures that every Londis store carries the optimal range for their specific needs.

What other support measures for retailers have you introduced recently and what do you plan to introduce in the near future? Recently, Londis launched the “Fit for the Future” programme, which helps retailers identify areas for improvement and store enhancement with the goal of maximizing cash profit. We also have a range of added-value service partners, such as EPoS companies, store equipment providers, in-store radio services, and exclusive deals with partners like Barclaycard and Just Eat. We continually assess opportunities to introduce further support measures in the near future.

Why should an independent retailer join your group? Londis offers a compelling proposition for independent retailers. Our membership model is completely cost-free, and we provide a free fascia and installation package. Additionally, retailers can earn up to 5% through our “Spend & Save” discount program (terms and conditions apply). We offer exclusive group benefits, a promotional package with attractive margins, free marketing support, and everyday lower prices on essential products like milk and bread.
