Cotswolds Distillery has launched Cotswolds Wild Spritz, a bittersweet English aperitivo aimed at tapping into the rapidly expanding spritz and aperitivo trend in the UK.

This introduction aligns with the growing consumer preference for high-quality, flavor-centric beverages that suit relaxed social settings featuring lower ABV — a shift that is fueling creativity within the spirits industry.

Debuting at the opening of the distillery’s new location, The Hidden Still, this aperitivo offers a uniquely English take on a category largely dominated by Italian influences.

Intricately made with ingredients like lavender, hops, lemon balm, and distilled fresh orange peel, it presents a refreshing, bittersweet taste that concludes with a drier finish. This intentional design caters to consumers who are on the lookout for more sophisticated and countryside-inspired flavor profiles.

Founder and CEO Daniel Szor expresses that this launch speaks to both market trends and the aspirations of the brand: “Cotswolds Wild Spritz is an exciting new addition to our drinks portfolio and we are delighted to be launching it at our new distillery bar. It’s perfect for the long, relaxed drinking occasion — and what better place to enjoy it than in the heart of the beautiful English countryside.”

With a strength of 30% ABV, the aperitivo is packaged in a clear glass bottle adorned with botanical drawings, ideal for straightforward, premium presentations. At The Hidden Still, guests can enjoy it in a spritz mix with sparkling wine and soda, complemented by a meticulously crafted cocktail selection from mixologist Ollie Morris.
