TekniPlex Consumer Products, a globally integrated provider of innovative solutions through materials science and manufacturing technologies, will prioritize sustainable packaging innovations at the Aerosol & Dispensing Forum, taking place on January 17-18, 2024, during Paris Packaging Week. The company intends to showcase its offerings at Stand S40, highlighting recyclable outer gaskets, PCR-derived dip tubes, and other sustainable packaging solutions.

One of the main attractions at the ADF will be the company’s new range of outer gaskets for water-sensitive aerosol products. These innovative TPE alternatives offer increased water vapor resistance compared to traditional rubber outer gaskets, contributing to reduced waste through superior product protection. Additionally, the gaskets are easy to assemble and adhere seamlessly on mounting cups, simplifying the manufacturing process.

Additionally, TekniPlex will present dip tubes derived from post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials, suitable for both pressurized and non-pressurized pump packaging. These PCR components offer sustainability without compromising product performance and are available in various versions such as LDPE, HDPE, and PP.

Other products to be showcased include a new series of tabbed container liners, known as EdgePull®, which combine easier opening with exemplary product protection, as well as lightweight liners that minimize materials use and overall carbon footprint.

Furthermore, TekniPlex will also discuss its PFAS-free polyolefin tubing, offering customers a viable alternative as regulatory requirements for food and drink packaging drive the need for alternate material solutions. This tubing provides an alternative option well ahead of any required phaseouts.

“Our ‘Sustainability And’ philosophy allows us to consider both the environment and product functionality in everything we do,” said Eldon Schaffer, CEO of TekniPlex Consumer Products. “Our goal is to further sustainability while also improving performance across various parameters, including product protection, shelf life extension, cost-competitiveness, and consumer convenience. Whether it’s through more recyclable materials, PCR-derived components, reduced product waste, or lightweighting, we’re committed to considering environmental impact and carbon footprint in everything we do.”
