Ferrarelle Società Benefit has partnered with Sidel, a leading provider of aseptic technology, to install its first-ever aseptic line at the Boario plant. This installation aims to produce the Vitasnella ‘Le Linfe’ functional water and teas, incorporating natural ingredients and a variety of flavors to promote a holistic healthy lifestyle for consumers.
One of the largest mineral water producers in Italy, Ferrarelle Società Benefit is well-known for its unique naturally sparkling water properties. The company bottles “Boario,” “Vitasnella,” and “Fonte Essenziale” mineral waters at its Boario plant, which is strategically located near the picturesque Iseo Lake. By sourcing water from the nearby mountains, the plant produces uniquely bottled mineral water with health-enhancing properties.
For its new range of functional water and teas, Ferrarelle Società Benefit chose Sidel’s Aseptic Combi Predis technology. Sidel’s expertise in aseptic technology and its Predis™ dry preform decontamination solution ensures a high-end taste experience, product integrity, and a long shelf-life, making it a safe, hygienic, and cost-effective way to package a variety of sensitive beverages.
The installation of Sidel’s Aseptic Combi Predis at Boario’s plant allows for the production of the Vitasnella ‘Le Linfe’ product range in two different formats, 0.5 liters and 1.25 liters, at a speed of 18,000 bottles per hour. This system ensures full production sterility, beverage integrity, and food safety with easy operations.
According to Nicola Tignonsini, operations director at Ferrarelle, “‘Le Linfe’ functional waters and tea ranges are extremely important for us, and we wanted to avoid any potential risks. That’s why we decided to turn to Sidel, given their extensive expertise in aseptic technology.”
Marcelo Astrini, plant director at Boario, emphasized the importance of the aseptic system, stating, “As our only line producing sensitive beverages, it was crucial that we had an aseptic system that could ensure the highest level of product safety and integrity. We trusted Sidel to install our first aseptic line in the company due to its extensive expertise on total food safety.”
