Kingsland Drinks is undergoing a significant change as longtime managing director, Baker, prepares to depart after over a decade with the company. The search is currently underway for a suitable successor to fill Baker’s shoes.
Baker’s tenure at Kingsland Drinks saw the recruitment of several key executives in recent years, such as Andy Henderson, Mark Riley, and Simon Shelbourn, in leading roles within the company. Baker himself started as finance director in 2013 before advancing to the role of managing director in 2019. During his time, he spearheaded investments in the company’s infrastructure and capabilities, positioning Kingsland Drinks as a top-tier partner within the drinks industry.
Under Baker’s leadership, Kingsland Drinks expanded its production capacity to accommodate new and innovative packaging formats, including carbonation, bottling, Bag in Box, and canning lines. This strategic move reflected the company’s commitment to staying ahead of industry trends and meeting evolving consumer demands.
In reflecting on his time at Kingsland Drinks, Baker expressed gratitude for the opportunity to lead the company and work alongside industry peers through organizations like the WSTA. He expressed confidence in the team he leaves behind, describing them as talented, capable, and poised for future success.
Andy Sagar, chairman of Kingsland Drinks Group, praised Baker’s contributions to the company, emphasizing his role in building a strong business foundation with sustainable investments in people and capabilities. Despite Baker’s departure, Sagar expressed confidence in the company’s ability to continue driving business growth moving forward.
