The new 950ml pot has become a popular size in the food and drink packaging industry, with an increasing number of Colpac’s customers opting for printed bespoke pots. In response to this demand, the company has introduced a kraft pot with a separate rPET lid in the new size as part of its stock range. This allows for an off-the-shelf solution to cater to a wider customer base.
Colpac’s existing range includes 470ml, 550ml, 700ml, and 1300ml pots. The addition of the new 950ml pot fills the gap between the smaller and larger sizes, making it ideal for high-value lunches and meal offerings later in the day. This expansion of Colpac’s range provides foodservice operators and retailers with flexibility to package more substantial meals with added value perception, without the need to use the larger 1300ml pot.
Manufacturing of Colpac’s multi-food pots was relocated to the UK in 2022 and is now produced at the company’s factory in Flitwick, Bedfordshire. The 950ml pots supplied from their food-safe, BRCGS AA+ certified factory have been well received by retailers. Additionally, Colpac offers bespoke printed 950ml pots for a European customer who values the production location for continuity of supply and reduced lead times to retail stores in Belgium.

Colpac’s multi-food pots are versatile and suitable for a variety of dishes, with a focus on salads. The grease-resistant interior coating allows the pots to withstand oily dressings while maintaining their structural integrity. The pots have a wide aperture for excellent product visibility and can be paired with rPET, anti-mist lids for chilled display. They can also be heat-sealed for added shelf life and tamper-proofing.
Made from FSC® certified paperboard, Colpac’s multi-food pots are sourced sustainably and contain less than 10% plastic, making them recyclable after use. The lids are also recyclable and made from 100% recycled PET.
The new 950ml size from Colpac will be available for order starting May 2024.
