The introduction of mass volume Frugal Bottle filling will offer UK retailers and on-trade establishments the opportunity to stock a greater selection of paper bottles, promoting sustainability in the food and drink industry.
Interpunkt wines, in partnership with South African winery Journey’s End Vineyards, has secured listings at popular venues such as All Bar One and Stonegate and Castle pubs. This collaboration will enable Journey’s End to expand the distribution of Interpunkt wines in Frugal Bottles across the UK and beyond.
The Frugal Bottles, currently manufactured by Frugalpac in Ipswich, are composed of 94% recycled paperboard, weighing only 83g and featuring a food-grade liner. They are significantly lighter and have a much lower carbon footprint compared to traditional glass bottles.
Frugalpac highlights that since 2020, more than 35 different drinks producers worldwide have introduced 128 different SKUs of wines, spirits, and olive oils in the Frugal Bottle range.
