Users simply need to introduce the seeds or spores, add water to the reservoir, and let CROP take care of the rest.

He highlighted the fact that store-bought produce often loses its nutrient value due to transportation, storage, and time elapsed since harvesting. With CROP, users can harvest microgreens and mushrooms right when they’re ready to consume them, ensuring maximum nutrient retention. These nutrient-rich foods contain vitamins like C, E, and K, as well as essential minerals and antioxidants.

One of the main motivations behind creating this technology was the founders’ interest in microgreens. CROP is optimized for growing microgreens, which are harvested shortly after the first true leaves have developed. These young vegetable greens are packed with flavor, color, and nutrients. Studies have shown that microgreens contain higher levels of vitamins and antioxidants compared to their mature counterparts.
