Phil Hurst and Ben Weeks are set to join Daily Dose as chief financial officer and chief commercial officer, respectively. Their appointments come at a critical time for the company as it navigates the food manufacturing landscape.

Hurst brings valuable experience from Mr Fothergill’s, where he served as group finance director and successfully managed the sale of the company to private equity. His extensive background within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector includes significant roles with renowned brands such as Molton Brown and the Hain Daniels Group.

Building on Growth

With Hurst at the financial helm, Daily Dose aims to build upon its impressive revenue growth of 75% over the past year, undertaking strategic initiatives to sustain this momentum into 2025 and beyond.

Meanwhile, Weeks joins from Red Bull, where he served as the head of grocery. His experience also includes being part of the founding team at Mockingbird Raw Press and his role as managing director at the CBD brand Medahuman.

In his new capacity as commercial director, Weeks will be instrumental in developing and executing the strategic plan that aims to further elevate the Daily Dose brand. His focus will include driving innovation, leading new product development (NPD) and sales teams, and cultivating retail partnerships.

Commenting on the dual appointments, Daily Dose founder George Hughes-Davies stated: “We’re thrilled to have Phil and Ben join the Daily Dose leadership team at such a pivotal moment. Phil’s financial expertise and Ben’s commercial acumen will be instrumental as we continue to grow our brand, innovate within the category, and deliver exceptional products to our customers.”

‘Redefining Juice’

“Ben’s expertise in grocery strategy and brand-building is set to propel Daily Dose’s mission to redefine the juice and smoothie market.”

These new hires follow a significant growth period for Daily Dose, marked by a successful venture capital round and a considerable expansion of production capacity at its 90,000 sq. ft. chilled facility in Corby.

Additionally, Daily Dose has installed the largest high-pressure processing machine in the UK. This investment aims to guarantee the freshest and highest-quality products available in the food manufacturing sector.
