MPK Garages is set to expand its retail estate with an additional 17 Nisa stores, following the successful transition of 11 former Morrisons Daily stores earlier this year. The new locations will bring MPK’s total number of stores to 28, with a prominent presence in the Midlands and along major motorways such as the M5 and M1.

These forecourt sites, ranging in size from 1,000 to 3,000 square feet, will primarily focus on food-to-go and chilled offerings, offering customers an improved shopping experience. In line with this, each store will feature an expanded range of products, including a wide selection of Co-op own brand items across various categories.

Wayne Harrand, retail director at MPK Garages, commended the Nisa team for their productivity and highlighted the strong platform they have provided for future growth within local communities. “I’m absolutely delighted that 17 additional MPK stores will be joining Nisa over the coming months,” said Victoria Lockie, head of retail at Nisa. She added, “Wayne and the team have proved to be fantastic to deal with since we began our relationship with the original 11 stores, and I’m sure the relationship between Nisa and MPK will continue to grow from strength to strength.”

Lockie further mentioned that their forecourt business is experiencing significant growth, and the partnership with MPK will further strengthen their presence in that particular market.

Overall, this expansion aligns with MPK Garages’ strategy to enhance its retail offering and cater to the needs of local communities. With the support of Nisa, MPK is well-positioned for future success in the competitive retail landscape.
