According to recent analysis, the prices of coffee, plant-based milk, and condiments have all decreased in the past few months, with condiments seeing the biggest plunge at over 12%. This price drop has resulted in a sales boost, as shoppers take advantage of the lowered prices and stock up their cupboards.
Specifically, condiment sales have increased by 60% compared to March, while coffee sales have increased by over 43% as we entered into May. Plant-based milks have also seen a sales increase of over 30% in April compared to March of this year.

James Lamplugh, the commercial director of Reapp, commented on this trend, noting that “there is some hope for the nation’s shoppers.” Inflationary pressures have sent prices soaring, but industry-wide deflation and supermarket price promotions are helping to bring certain essentials, such as coffee and condiments, down in price.

Overall, the analysis suggests that shoppers are responding positively to these lower prices by stocking up on their favorite goods. It’s essential to stay up to date with these price trends to make the most of the low prices.
