Established in 2011 by Fiona and Euan MacEachern, Loch Lomond Brewery has rapidly ascended to become one of Scotland’s leading independent breweries. Their operational base in Dumbarton facilitates significant growth in the food and beverage industry.

Currently, the firm employs a dedicated team of 17, producing an impressive 1.5 million pints of beer annually. Additionally, they boast 12 products available in four of the UK’s top six supermarkets, aligning with current food distribution trends.

The brewery claims that its portfolio has amassed over 100 industry awards, such as Champion Beer of the UK, Brewery of the Year, and most recently, a historic double gold achievement at the SIBA Indie Beer Scotland Awards 2025—winning both Cask and Keg Champion of Scotland with a single beer, showcasing their commitment to innovation in the food and drink sector.

With an investment goal of £250,000, Loch Lomond Brewery aims to enhance its brewing and packaging capabilities to accommodate growing consumer demand. Furthermore, they plan to increase their whisky cask inventory, which aligns with food and drink sustainability practices for future revenue generation.

Fiona MacEachern, Managing Director of Loch Lomond Brewery, stated: “When I started Loch Lomond Brewery, I was brewing, selling and delivering every pint myself.

“It’s been an incredible journey to grow from there into a national brand stocked in major supermarkets and enjoyed across the UK and globally. Adding the stills and beginning to distil whisky, gin and rum is another exciting leap forward for our business.”

“We’re now at the point where investment will allow us to scale up brewing, distilling and packaging to meet demand and to continue expanding our whisky ambitions with Levenbank Distillery. This is an opportunity for our community of beer and whisky fans to come on that journey with us.”

Loch Lomond Brewery projects revenue growth exceeding £7 million within the next decade, propelled by increasing consumer demand and export opportunities, along with the bottling of its whisky stocks in line with food manufacturing trends.

Building on their previous successes, the company has expanded its offerings to include distilling West Highland gin and vodka, Cu Mara rum, and Levenbank whisky—demonstrating a commitment to food and drink industry innovation.
