The 1,150 sq ft site has been transformed into a modern and contemporary convenience store. Furthermore, the inviting new look, combined with great offers and promotions, has been a huge success with our existing customers as well as winning over new customers, as stated by Paul Salvidge, director at Pricewatch.
A key priority of the store was to expand product choice for customers. As a result, the refurbished store now offers an extensive range of new products, promotions, and services. Notably, it has introduced food to go with Country Choice and Swan Bakery, Uber Eats, and plans to expand with Deliveroo.
In addition, Old Town Service Station now provides improved ranges and new brands like Costa Coffee, Rollover Hot Dogs, and Skwishee. This development aligns with the store’s goal of offering improved options to customers.
This store is one of three Pricewatch forecourts that have already been rebranded as a Nisa Local, with plans to expand the symbol fascia in the future. This demonstrates the company’s commitment to further enhancing its store network.
A significant refurbishment and rebranding to the Nisa symbol fascia have also taken place at forecourts in Storrington and Lewes. This shows the brand’s dedication to creating customer-friendly and modern environments across its locations.
In terms of support, Nisa has played a vital role throughout the refurbs by providing merchandisers, suggesting new product ranges, and planning effective shop layouts. This collaborative effort has resulted in the best format for customers, according to Paul Salvidge.
Kevin Lear, store development manager at Nisa, highlights the successful transformation of all three forecourt stores. These spaces have been updated to be more usable and customer-friendly, exemplifying a modern and contemporary feel.
Old Town Service Station remains active in its community and has partnered with Nisa’s “Making a Difference Locally” charity. Together, they aim to raise money for local charity You Raise Me Up, which supports families coping with the loss of a loved one.
For fundraising efforts on Tuesday, 11 July, the station received support from key brands such as Blockhead, Mondelez, Coke/Monster, Costa Coffee, Country Choice, Ferrero, Harvey’s Brewery, Heineken, KP Snacks, Rollover Hotdogs, Skwishee, Springvale Foods, and Unilever. Representatives from each brand joined Old Town in its fundraising activities, offering free samples for customers and donating prizes.
Debbie Harrington, representing You Raise Me Up, expressed gratitude for the invitation and the funds raised. The money will be used to provide one-to-one counseling sessions for bereaved families, specifically focusing on those who have lost a child aged 16-25. The support from MADL and the refurbished Nisa store is greatly appreciated by the charity.
