Swiss Water Decaffeinated Coffee Inc. plans to invest CAD $6.2 million to expand its Delta, British Columbia, processing facility, increasing maximum production capacity by 15%.
Work is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2027, while current operations are expected to continue throughout construction. The project is targeted for completion in June 2027, with commercial production expected to begin the following month.
The Toronto-listed company intends to finance the majority of the investment through cash generated from operations, supplemented by its existing credit facilities.
The added capacity will help meet rising demand for decaffeinated coffee processed without chemical solvents. Through its Swiss Water Process, the company removes caffeine from green coffee beans without using solvents such as methylene chloride.
Swiss Water operates as a specialty coffee company and green coffee decaffeination provider. Its Seaforth Supply Chain Solutions business additionally offers green coffee handling and storage services.
