rePurpose Global, the leading plastic action platform, has announced the acquisition of Bluebird Climate, a sustainability software company specializing in helping consumer brands evaluate, enhance, and transparently communicate the environmental performance of their products, ingredients, and packaging.

Bluebird Climate, founded in 2021, has developed advanced software that provides on-demand Lifecycle Assessments, packaging waste & recyclability analysis, and consumer transparency tools for the CPG & consumer goods industry. The company has already assisted over 100 reputable brands in various industries, such as Krave Beauty, Ritual, Summer Fridays, and Glow Recipe, in optimizing 1000+ products using its proprietary sustainability and supply chain data. This strategic acquisition by rePurpose Global aims to expand its capabilities to meet the increasing demands for climate action, waste reduction, and supply chain transparency globally.

According to Jamie McCroskery, Co-Founder and CEO of Bluebird Climate, “We’ve built a powerful sustainability platform and established partnerships with numerous leading brands since our inception. We believe that integrating with rePurpose Global will enable us to further scale our impact and provide comprehensive sustainability solutions that companies require.”

Svanika Balasubramanian, CEO of rePurpose Global, stated, “Our vision has always been to bring together innovators and leaders to address pressing environmental challenges. The acquisition of Bluebird Climate aligns with this vision, allowing us to offer a range of sustainability solutions that empower brands to tackle these critical issues.”

Going forward, the combined entity will focus on enhancing Bluebird Climate’s capabilities while integrating the platform into rePurpose Global’s technology stack. Additionally, efforts will be made to extend the platform’s features to industries beyond beauty and personal care, including food and drink packaging, and apparel.

Mia Davis, an impact executive and Co-Founder of Pact Collective, expressed her enthusiasm for the merger, saying, “This integration will enable brands to make more informed packaging decisions as sustainability regulations become increasingly stringent.”
