Ravenwood, a prominent player in linerless and x-ray inspection systems, is excited to unveil its latest promotional flash labeller. This innovative machine is available as a standalone applicator or as an integrated solution alongside any linerless applicator within the Nobac 5000 range. Distinctively, the Nobac 40 not only features a linerless design but also outperforms traditional self-adhesive options, boasting superior build quality and enhanced component tolerance. Its design is simple and cost-effective, yet it incorporates high-precision parts. Ravenwood aims to position this machine as a budget-friendly solution with a competitive edge in the food and drink packaging market.

Paul Beamish, Ravenwood’s Managing Director, stated: “We are thrilled to introduce this industry-first linerless flash label solution. Now, when customers purchase a Nobac sleever, we’re able to offer them a linerless flash labeller instead of a self-adhesive machine.”

Linerless labels present numerous advantages over traditional labels with liners, making them an eco-friendly choice for the food and drink packaging sector. Unlike standard labels, linerless variants do not require backing paper on the reel. They self-adhere through matching strips of adhesive and silicone, applied to the underside and face of the label. This approach substantially minimizes material usage and waste. By eliminating the liner—typically discarded in landfills—linerless labels significantly reduce CO2 emissions, making them a sustainable and recyclable option.

In general, the Nobac 40 efficiently applies flash labels to MAP packs on the top, side, or base of the product. With line speeds reaching 30 metres per minute, it can label approximately 130 packs in that time. Designed for high-output operations, the linerless labeller ensures that promotional labels are applied in real-time during the packaging process, maintaining production efficiency. Its precise control systems guarantee accurate label placement, which is essential for consistency in product presentation and avoiding misalignments that could detract from the product’s appearance. Additionally, varied mounting options cater to diverse customer needs.
