Patch & Pieces Redesigns Mother Nature’s Recipes Tea Packaging

Patch & Pieces Redesigns Mother Nature's Recipes Tea Packaging designs, Mother Nature’s Recipes, new pack, Pack, Patch, Pieces, revamp, Tea Food and Beverage Business

The previous brand featured a logo depicting a mother with her baby, accompanied by a two-tone pouched packaging design characterized by bold typography. In contrast, the redesigned packaging showcases a more artisanal aesthetic, with organic and flowing lettering. The new box design prominently displays a large wordmark crafted with elegantly curved characters.

Drawing inspiration from the ingredients, the six tea boxes now exhibit unique hand-crafted foliage elements. This aligns with their overarching ‘Garden of Eden’ concept, which introduces vibrant yet muted color palettes for each tea flavor. Additionally, the new apertured tea boxes allow consumers to view the loose tea ingredients, while creative iconography of cups, teapots, women, plants, and fruits enriches the brand’s visual assets.

Kheyla Anderson, founder of Mother Nature’s Recipes, stated: “The change in branding reflects how we are growing as a business; I started the business when I first became a mother, and like any business we grow and evolve. In this new chapter for us we will hopefully be able to support more and more women, be inclusive to all types of mothers and be more environmentally friendly.”

Jennifer Falowo, creative director at Patch & Pieces, emphasized: “We were asked to look at the branding but soon stepped into the journeys of motherhood, and how this tea brand could be more nurturing and caring for mothers. As a team, we first assessed the brand’s positioning, extending our focus to visual and verbal messaging and packaging. Our goal was to evoke stronger feelings of care and compassion.”

Moreover, it is crucial for Mother Nature’s Recipes to encourage mothers to carve out moments for self-care. Our secondary goal involved implementing sustainable solutions, such as using biodegradable pyramid tea bags and environmentally-friendly packaging materials. These initiatives reflect key consumer trends in food and drink sustainability, positioning the brand as a leader in the sustainable packaging movement in today’s market.
