Ishida weighing and inspection technology plays a key role in enhancing product quality and customer confidence for Dobosz, a leading Polish confectionery company.
The Ishida equipment, including a multihead weigher, checkweigher, and an X-ray inspection system, has enabled Dobosz to boost packing speeds, minimize giveaway, and enhance detection capabilities. This has resulted in increased output, improved efficiencies, and enhanced brand protection.
Established in 1993, Dobosz now offers a wide range of luxury sweets and energy and fruit bars, exporting them globally in addition to selling in Poland. With this surge in demand, the company sought to automate its packing processes further.
General Manager Sebastian Wawrzycki explained, “As a start-up business, in the early days we carried out many weighing and inspection operations manually, but this was not sustainable as the business started to grow. We needed high-performance and reliable equipment, and chose Ishida for their experience, technical support, and market reputation.”
The Ishida machines handle various sweets in different pack formats and weights, ensuring seamless integration with the existing packing machine to handle more product and increase output.
In particular, the Ishida IX-EN-2493-S X-ray inspection system guarantees product quality by detecting the smallest contaminants. Mr. Wawrzycki mentioned, “With the Ishida X-ray system, should such an incident occur, it will be quickly identified and the pack rejected, thus maintaining our rigorous quality standards.”
Another advantage of the Ishida IX-EN is its ability to identify quality issues. If the cutting machine on the bars line fails, the X-ray system can detect and reject joined bars.
Mr. Wawrzycki emphasized the fast-learning technology of the IX-EN and its efficient reject systems, as well as the multihead weigher’s gentle operation, high product control, feeding efficiency, and weighing accuracy.
The Ishida machines are user-friendly, with quick changeovers, easy cleaning, and maintenance. Training on the machines was provided as part of the sales and installation process.
