Sappi Europe, a leading producer of packaging, speciality, and graphic papers, is excited to introduce Algro Volume, the newest addition to Sappi’s Algro paperboard family. Manufactured at Sappi Europe’s Maastricht Mill in The Netherlands, Algro Volume is a premium paperboard that is perfect for demanding and durable packaging and graphic solutions.

Highlighting the limitless possibilities of the new product, Director of Packaging & Dye Sublimation Luis Mata states, “Algro Volume is a top-notch board that meets every challenge, meticulously crafted to meet the rigorous physical demands typically associated with solid bleached boards (SBB). The versatile base composition enhances stiffness and bulk, while Sappi’s exceptional coating capability ensures outstanding printing and finishing performance for your needs.”

Versatile and strong, Algro Volume encompasses all the necessary compliance features such as odour neutrality, toy safety purity (low heavy metal content), and suitability for direct food contact according to BfR XXXVI, FDA, and Austrian food regulations. Made from 100% virgin fibers, it is fully recyclable and can be provided as FSC Mix Credit (FSC™-C015022) or 100% PEFC (PEFC/07-32-76) certified upon request.

Offered in both sheets and reels, Algro Volume is perfect for high-end packaging and demanding graphic applications. It is compatible with various finishing techniques like embossing, varnishing, and foil lamination. Common uses include promotional materials, covers, cards, tags, tickets, and packaging for pharmaceutical, confectionary, food and beverage, as well as beauty and personal care products.

Algro Volume is available in a range of grammages from 220g/m² to 380g/m² and is suitable for offset, flexo, and screen printing processes.
