Guylian’s Advent Calendar will return to Sainsbury’s on 28th September following last year’s sell-out performance. The premium calendar offers chocolate lovers 24 days of Belgian indulgence during the festive countdown.

Each calendar contains 24 signature Guylian chocolates, combining premium ingredients, Belgian chocolate-making expertise and responsible sourcing. The elegant presentation also reflects current food and beverage industry trends, including growing demand for quality, provenance and food and drink sustainability.

Behind every door, consumers will discover one of three Guylian favourites:

  • Sea Salt Caramel Seahorses, combining smooth caramel with a delicate touch of sea salt for a balanced sweet-and-savoury flavour.
  • Original Praliné Seashells, filled with Guylian’s distinctive hazelnut praline prepared using hazelnuts roasted in-house.
  • Milk Truffle Seahorses, offering a rich milk chocolate centre and a soft, indulgent finish.

For over 65 years, Guylian has produced Belgian chocolate using carefully selected ingredients and traditional expertise. The brand makes its chocolates with 100% Fairtrade cocoa, naturally sourced ingredients and no palm oil, supporting responsible production practices that align with wider food manufacturing trends and food and drink consumer trends.

The calendar comes in fully recyclable food and drink packaging, supporting Guylian’s sustainability policy while delivering an attractive festive design. This approach reflects the growing role of food processing technology, food and drink sustainability and responsible materials across the sector, without compromising the premium presentation expected from a seasonal gift.

Whether purchased as a present, shared with family and friends or enjoyed as a daily festive ritual, the Guylian Advent Calendar offers a refined way to celebrate the Christmas season. Its launch also highlights the importance of food and drink innovation, food distribution trends and food and drink marketing in the competitive seasonal confectionery market.

The Guylian Advent Calendar is expected to remain a popular choice this festive season. It will be available from 28th September at Sainsbury’s stores nationwide, as well as through Ocado and Amazon, with an RRP of £15.
