Falconer, a leading manufacturer of food and drink packaging, has proudly unveiled its second manufacturing facility, which became fully operational on 17 November 2024. This expansion marks a significant milestone in the company’s growth trajectory, enhancing operational capabilities, improving employee amenities, and increasing capacity to better serve its client base.

Located just a short distance from Falconer’s original site, the new facility spans 15,000 square feet and was selected after three years of thorough planning and research. Retaining proximity to the existing site was essential for keeping Falconer’s skilled workforce intact while also broadening operations to accommodate rising demand for sustainable packaging solutions.

The new facility streamlines crucial functions, including warehousing, packaging, and distribution. It houses both existing and newly added gluing machines, a window patching line, and expanded storage for samples and inventory. Featuring a state-of-the-art Crown forklift to enhance logistics, the site ensures smooth operations from production through to dispatch.

For Falconer’s team, the new facility represents a significant enhancement in comfort and convenience. With upgraded cloakrooms and break areas designed with employees in mind, this investment showcases Falconer’s commitment to its workforce’s well-being. Additionally, customers will benefit from increased capacity, improved efficiency, and potentially quicker lead times. By managing warehousing and distribution in-house, Falconer can maintain a larger stock, providing greater flexibility and responsiveness to client demands.

Falconer’s investment in this new facility is part of a broader growth strategy aimed at reinforcing its position in the food and drink packaging sector. The next phase initiates in early January 2025, when a Heidelberg XL75 press will be added, further augmenting the company’s capabilities and facilitating innovative print solutions.

“This expansion is not just about growing our business but also about enhancing the ‘Falconer’ experience for our employees and customers alike,” stated Richard Martin, Falconer’s managing director. “We’re excited to welcome customers to see the new site and its benefits to our operations.”

Based in West Yorkshire, Falconer specializes in manufacturing decorative printed folding cartons for a variety of sectors, including food and drink, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, giftware, healthcare, veterinary, pet care, and luxury confectionery. With high-quality added-value finishes and state-of-the-art equipment, the company has established a reputation for delivering innovative packaging solutions combined with exceptional service.
