PepsiCo is investing €300m in a new snack facility in Poland, which is set to be a leader in automated technology. This state-of-the-art plant near Środa Śląska will be climate neutral by 2035 and will showcase elements of circular economy practices, such as collecting rainwater for reuse and harnessing energy from rooftop solar panels.
In addition to supplying the domestic market, this facility will export snacks to over 20 countries in Europe, including Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. PepsiCo has invested in Poland for over 30 years, and this new environmentally sustainable plant marks a significant milestone for the company in Europe.
Silviu Popovici, CEO of PepsiCo Europe, acknowledged the strategic importance of Poland as a market with high potential for development. He identified the new facility as a leader in automation, with advanced features such as an automated finished goods warehouse, an auto-palletizing system, and automated packaging systems.
This investment in Poland reinforces PepsiCo’s commitment to sustainability through innovative solutions that align with the goals of a circular economy. The company’s investment in the modern plant will generate benefits for both the environment and the economy. With this new investment, PepsiCo is well-positioned to continue leading the food and beverage industry in Europe and beyond.
