Multivac has introduced a cutting-edge Multivac pouch loader for chamber belt machines, which greatly enhances the filling of film pouches and loading into the packaging machine. The packaging and processing specialist promises a 40% reduction in personnel costs and increased efficiency compared to manual loading, while maintaining product and pack flexibility.

The process of filling film pouches and loading chamber belt machines has typically been a bottleneck in the packaging process. However, the newly developed Multivac pouch loader (MPL) promises to set a new benchmark for the automated packing of products in film pouches.

The MPL’s operating principle is simple: one operator positions the products on the infeed conveyor while two others load the products by pulling the film pouches over the loading conveyor. By turning the film pouch 90 degrees, placing it on the machine conveyor, and subsequently vacuum packing and sealing it, the cycle output can be fully utilized with just three operators compared to the five required in the manual procedure.

In addition to significant cost savings, the MPL adds benefits in hygiene and ergonomics. By eliminating the need for operators to lift and place products awkwardly, the risk of contamination is reduced while operating convenience and cost-effectiveness are increased.

The MPL can be integrated into various Multivac line solutions, ensuring a complete source for pouch applications on chamber belt machines. According to Korbinian Wiest, product manager for chamber belt machines at Multivac, “The Multivac Pouch Loader stands for a simple and effortless packaging process with a high degree of efficiency, reliability, operating convenience, and cost-effectiveness.”

The MPL can be combined with the Multivac pouch rack (MPR), which accommodates up to ten different stacks of various pouch sizes, allowing for flexibility in pouch sizes. Its compact design means MPL can be configured to individual needs and components can be dismantled quickly and without tools.

In summary, the Multivac pouch loader is a state-of-the-art solution for food packaging on chamber belt machines, reducing personnel costs while improving efficiency, hygiene, ergonomics and flexibility.
