The leading food and drink packaging company, Durham Box, has collaborated with long-standing customer Northumbrian Gifts to develop stand-out, sustainable packaging for their 3 x 500ml bottled beer products. Operating out of Ashington, Northumbrian Gifts is a family-run business celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. They offer a wide range of authentic, high-quality items from the local area, including beer, wine, cider, spirits, and local produce.
The packaging design, featuring a wrap-around historical map and local imagery, was crafted from 180cc/120bk e-flute and digitally printed on Durham Box’s Nozomi C18000 digital press. Utilizing a tuck-in top closure, the design not only showcases the technical capabilities of the digital press but also aligns with Northumbrian Gifts’ sustainability goals, being fully recyclable.

It’s not only practical and eco-friendly but also easy to wrap and carry, providing a secure fit for safe transportation.”
