In response to this demand, delfort is introducing thinwrap transparent gloss HS, an innovative transparent paper. “It’s heat-sealable, recyclable, and certified for direct food contact,” states Peter Hackl, Head of Packaging at delfort. With thinwrap transparent gloss HS, businesses can create attractive viewing windows or entirely paper-based packaging without sacrificing protection, sealing performance, or product presentation. A standout technical feature is the fully coated surface with an A-A heat-sealable solution. This design allows companies to utilize a single roll format for various packaging sizes and types—either printed or unprinted. “This simplifies operations,” remarks Hackl. Moreover, the paper boasts a glossy finish and provides excellent grip, facilitating high-quality printing with common processes like flexographic and gravure.
Constructed from FSC- and/or PEFC-certified pulp, thinwrap transparent gloss HS contains no intentionally added PFAS and complies with the standards set by the US FDA and the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) for direct food contact. This adherence to regulations makes it an ideal choice for sustainable food and drink packaging.
