Several batches of the ‘Tony’s Chocolonely Hollow Milk Caramel Sea Salt Egg (242g)’ and the ‘Tony’s Chocolonely Hollow Milk Chocolate Egg (242g)’ are under recall due to potential contamination with “metal fragments”, rendering these products unsafe for consumption.

The affected batches for both SKUs have a best before date of June 2025. Below are the specific batch codes linked to the recall:

  • Tony’s Chocolonely Hollow Milk Caramel Sea Salt Egg: L0385D, L0415D, L3244D, L3254D, L3264D, L3274D, L3304D, L3384D, L3394D, L3404D, L3444D, L3454D, L3464D, L3474D.
  • Tony’s Chocolonely Hollow Milk Chocolate Egg: L0355D, L0345D, L0315D, L0305D, L3544D, L3534D, L3524D, L3514D, L3484D, L3374D, L3344D, L3334D, L3324D, L3314D, L3234D, L3204D, L3194D, and L3184D.

Point-of-sale notices are prominently displayed in all stores selling the products, clearly explaining the reasons behind this recall. The notices also encourage consumers who have purchased a recalled item to return it to the point of purchase for a full refund, without the need for a receipt.

In addition, customers can reach out to Tony’s Chocolonely directly or visit the Food Standards Agency website for further information.

Food Manufacture has contacted the company for additional comment regarding this matter.

Notably, this marks the second recall Tony’s Chocolonely has issued this month.

On April 1, the chocolate manufacturer announced the recall of multiple batches of two chocolate bar varieties due to a risk of small stones contaminating the products.

A spokesman for the confectionery firm stated: “We are extremely sorry to have to issue this recall, and for the inconvenience that this will cause people who purchased these products.
