Agilent Technologies has announced a strategic partnership with ICAR-National Research Centre for Grapes (NRCG) to enhance food safety standards and address critical gaps in emerging food safety protocols. As India solidifies its position as a key global player in food production and exports, there is a growing need to prioritize the quality of food products and compliance with domestic and international safety regulations.

The collaboration between Agilent and NRCG will leverage Agilent’s expertise in food safety solutions and NRCG’s experience in analytical workflow development to create cutting-edge workflows targeting PFAS, polar pesticides, antibiotics, and other emerging applications. This partnership aims to ensure that Indian food products meet stringent regulatory standards and contribute to India’s reputation as a reliable food producer and exporter.

Dr. Kaushik Banerjee, Director of ICAR-NRCG, expressed excitement about the collaboration with Agilent, stating that it will enhance the nation’s food safety capabilities with a sustainable approach. The partnership will focus on creating next-generation workflows for emerging applications such as Polar Pesticides, PFAS, and Antibiotics to improve food safety practices in India.

The collaboration also includes joint workshops and skill development programs for technical personnel from both organizations and the industry to empower professionals with advanced analytical techniques.
