Nactarome, a natural taste and color solutions manufacturer for the F&B industry, has completed its acquisition of Dutch company, Royal Buisman. The latter is known for its production of natural, clean label caramel ingredients with over 150 years of experience. Rothschild&Co advised the acquisition, which Nactarome sees as a strategic presence in the Netherlands.

The acquisition helps Nactarome grow its portfolio of natural flavorings, extracts, colors and functional ingredients. Royal Buisman’s caramel ingredients offer broad applications in multiple F&B categories. With this acquisition, the company will complement Nactarome’s portfolio, boost geographical reach, and blue-chip customer exposure.

Robert Hoopman, CEO of Royal Buisman, remarked that the management team saw huge potential in joining Nactarome to create a leading natural ingredients firm. The merger will offer attractive synergies by producing innovative flavor and color solutions for customers across international food markets.

Luigi Del Monaco, CEO of Nactarome, welcomed the acquisition as a strategic move that aligns with its long-term growth goals and strengthens its position in the market.

The transaction details were undisclosed.
