Unilever UK has issued a recall for its Wall’s Mini Milk Vanilla Strawberry & Chocolate Ice Cream Lollies as a precautionary measure.
The recall affects 10x35ml packs due to a labeling error that presents product information, including ingredients and allergens, in Spanish rather than English.
As a result, critical information such as the presence of milk and warnings about potential allergens—nuts (pistachios), peanuts, and soya—are not provided in English.
Consequently, this creates a potential health risk for individuals with allergies or intolerances to milk and milk constituents, nuts (pistachios), peanuts, or soya.
In its recall statement, Unilever UK emphasized, “The products and ingredients are the same as the UK product, and it is only a limited number of Wall’s Mini Milk Vanilla Strawberry & Chocolate Ice Cream Lollies 10x 35ml packs that feature the incorrect Spanish label.”
“We apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your co-operation.”
