The Growth of Jisp’s Scan & Save Advances Rapidly

Shopper savings through the app have surpassed £1.35m, with almost £850,000 of that attributed to this year. This significant increase in savings follows Jisp’s previous record retail growth announcement in August 2023, where retail sales had reached £2.5m. In just a few short months, there has been an impressive surge of an additional £860,000.

Overall, total scans of the app’s AR vouchers have exceeded the 2.5 million mark. Of these scans, 1.5 million have occurred in 2023, with an additional 500,000 scans being added since August’s report. This highlights the continuous and dramatic trajectory of the app-based solution.

Furthermore, the trend in shopper engagement remains strong. Week-on-week data shows an 82.3% uplift in app downloads for the week ending October 15th compared to the previous week. Moreover, there has been a remarkable 137% increase in new users during the same period. Scans have also seen a 17% increase, while the number of repeat redemptions has risen by 27.5%.

Jisp’s managing director, Ilann Hepworth, stated, “The continued stratospheric rise in the success of Scan & Save is testament to the relevance of a value-driven loyalty reward platform for the convenience market. In the first quarter of the year, it was already clear that there was an increased demand for savings through app-based retail solutions, with us witnessing a 600% increase in users. This demand has only intensified.”

He further added, “To have seen us add £2.6m in retail sales in the first three quarters of the year is staggering. To see those figures jump 47% in just the few months since our August announcement shows the acceleration of our performance. With the recent announcement that Nisa is set to accelerate the rollout of Scan & Save to all Nisa retailers, there is no sign of this growth slowing down.”

Scan & Save offers both a loyalty and reward scheme for independent retailers. Shoppers can use money-off vouchers in a specific local store while earning rewards. This scheme ensures shopper loyalty to local stores, helping communities thrive by keeping spending local.

To enjoy the benefits of Scan & Save, shoppers can easily download the app onto their mobile devices and load vouchers into their wallet. Once in the store, they simply present or scan the vouchers at the till point to redeem them, saving pounds on their weekly shop.

It is important to note that Scan & Save is free to retailers and drives increased sales, basket size, spend, frequency, and shares brand investment with the retailer. Jisp Mini devices may require a small deposit for certain stores, which is returned after 12 months of trading with Jisp. This unique offering sets Scan & Save apart from other platforms in the market.

Overall, the success of Scan & Save demonstrates the effectiveness of a value-driven loyalty reward platform in the convenience market. With the continued growth in retail sales and the expansion plans with Nisa, Jisp is well-positioned to maintain its impressive trajectory.
