Cano Water, endorsed by celebrities, extends its retail presence to include Ocado.

Cano Water, the world’s first canned water brand, is now available on online grocery retailer, Ocado. Cano Water’s still and sparkling cans can be purchased in boxes of 24 for £16.00, providing a sustainable and healthy alternative to plastic water bottles, sparkling sodas, and flavored drinks.

With a mission to save 1 billion plastic bottles from landfill by 2030, Cano Water has attracted the attention of celebrity investors like Ricky Gervais and Jess Glynn, as well as other stars such as Daniel Craig, Dua Lipa, and Ed Sheeran. The brand’s packaging is made of aluminum with 62% recycled material, making each can infinitely recyclable and potentially back on shelves in as little as 60 days. This move to aluminum cans comes at a time when studies have shown the presence of nanoplastics in plastic bottled water, highlighting the importance of shifting buying habits away from single-use plastics.

Founded in 2015 in London by Josh White, Perry Alexander, and Ariel Booker, Cano Water was created after the founders witnessed the environmental impact of plastic pollution on Thailand’s beaches, much of which was from familiar water brands in the UK. With support from celebrity investors and a growing fan base, Cano Water has sold over 50 million cans across the UK and can also be found in retailers like Selfridge’s, Tesco, and Amazon.

Josh White, co-founder of Cano Water, expressed excitement about the brand’s expansion on Ocado, stating, “Cano Water started from an idea to help fight plastic pollution with an innovative and convenient product that people would actually want to buy instead of their regular bottle of water. We’re thrilled to be expanding our retail offering with Ocado, offering even more people across the UK the chance to make the switch to canned water.”
