In response to the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, all packaging in the European market must be reusable or recyclable by 2030, driving brands to switch to recyclable plastics or paper packaging solutions. Coveris’ latest innovation, MonoFlex Fibre, offers a paper-based range of flexible packaging that is recyclable and high shelf-impact.

Coveris’ Market Development Director Paper Flexibles, Melinda Bonamour, stated, “As part of our No Waste strategy, we focus on selecting eco-efficient packaging solutions tailored to each product’s needs. This includes offering paper-based options and reducing plastic usage to align with our customers’ brand vision.”

Innovation in Sustainability

The MonoFlex Fibre range includes MonoFlex Fibre Pure and MonoFlex Fibre, providing primary and secondary packaging options with excellent sealing and barrier properties. These paper-based solutions are recyclable in the existing paper stream and are easily integratable on standard packing lines.

Each specification offers the right level of protection and barrier properties, enhancing brand visibility on the shelf with exceptional printability. Coveris aims to meet the packaging needs of brands in various sectors like food, tea, confectionery, and pet food with these sustainable options.
