Marlow Ingredients, a UK-based company and owner of the popular Quorn® brand, has recently formed a partnership with Tempty Foods, a Danish-based company that creates mycoprotein-based food products. This collaboration marks the first time that a producer other than Marlow Foods has used Marlow mycoprotein, an innovative super protein used in over 100 Quorn branded meat alternatives.

This partnership represents Marlow Foods’ commitment to sharing its sustainable and nutritional benefits with like-minded producers, and to make it easier for people across the globe to eat more sustainably and reduce their impact on the environment. “We are delighted that Tempty Foods is the first of what we believe will be many food and beverage manufacturers to recognize the huge potential of our mycoprotein,” says Marlow Ingredients’ head of Strategy and Marketing, Tom Lindley.

The CEO and co-founder of Tempty Foods, Martina Lokajova, expressed enthusiasm for the introduction of Marlow mycoprotein into their products, citing its sustainable and competitive edge. Tempty Foods’ brand has already been launched in Denmark’s foodservice sector, providing chefs with a sustainable, healthier option for their meals. The collaboration with Marlow Ingredients aims to help Tempty Foods accelerate growth and expand into new channels and markets.

This collaboration follows Marlow Foods’ announcement in April of this year that mycoprotein would be made available to other food and beverage manufacturers via their newly launched division. Marlow Foods’ mission is to become a net positive business by 2030 and to provide eight billion servings of mycoprotein – one for every person on the planet.

This partnership marks an exciting step towards a more sustainable and ethical food industry by providing alternatives to traditional meat products. The two companies foresee a bright future working together and fostering innovation in the food industry.
