In a separate development, Bonnie Lowenthal has been elected as the President of the Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners. Alongside her, Frank Colonna and Steven Neal have been chosen as Vice President and Secretary, respectively. These appointments come as part of the annual selection process where Commissioners elect new officers to serve one-year terms.
Lowenthal, a seasoned public servant with experience in various roles within the Long Beach community, will take on the responsibility of leading the Board of Harbor Commissioners. She brings a wealth of experience from her tenure as a city councilwoman, vice mayor, state Assembly member, and licensed family counselor. The transition of leadership is set to take place on August 5, marking a new chapter in the Board’s governance under Lowenthal’s guidance.
