Yarde Farm is proud to announce its new mini tubs, which are certified as industrially compostable. These tubs are manufactured by a company accredited by TÜV Austria under the OK compost INDUSTRIAL scheme. It is essential to dispose of them through the appropriate commercial waste channels, underscoring the importance of sustainable packaging in the food and drink industry.

Located in Plymouth, Devon, Yarde Farm has been dedicated to creating artisanal ice cream and sorbets for over 30 years. This expertise is now complemented by the introduction of environmentally responsible packaging, aligning with current food and drink sustainability trends.

The compostable mini tubs will debut alongside two exciting new flavors, with the first being packaged in this innovative design. Available through Bidfood, the Cherry Cola Sorbet marks the fifth vegan option in Yarde Farm’s mini tub lineup. Notably, this means that nearly 30% of their mini tubs are now vegan, reflecting the growing consumer demand for sustainable food options.

In response to valuable customer feedback, Yarde Farm has also revamped the mini tub designs, opting for brighter and more eye-catching visuals to enhance visibility in freezers and on counter displays. This updated aesthetic echoes the brand’s commitment to food and drink marketing that resonates with contemporary consumer trends.

The refreshed look is also showcased on Yarde Farm’s newly launched website, which embodies the updated brand identity while reinforcing its core values centered around sustainability and innovation.

Tom Hackley, managing director of Yarde Farm, stated: “Using certified industrially compostable packaging allows us to make meaningful progress, while remaining clear and transparent about how it should be disposed of.” This approach further solidifies the company’s role in advancing sustainable practices in the food and drink sector.
