Tri-Star Packaging, a company committed to introducing sustainable packaging solutions, recently welcomed His Royal Highness to meet with its key distribution partner, Notpla. The visit was part of Tri-Star’s support of Notpla, an organization dedicated to reducing plastic waste and promoting sustainable and compostable food packaging.

Notpla recently won the Earthshot Prize in the “Build a Waste-Free World” category. This prestigious prize was founded by Prince William to identify and implement solutions that will help to restore the planet during this decade. Steve Norris, the managing director of Tri-Star, lauded Notpla’s mission to make disposable packaging more sustainable. During the visit, Prince William learned more about Notpla’s innovative seaweed-coating for food takeaway boxes.

Tri-Star has been supplying clients with Notpla seaweed-coated food takeaway boxes for almost two years and is committed to offering them to customers in the future. These boxes, made with a natural seaweed-derived formulation, are recyclable, home-compostable, and award-winning.

In recognition of this award, Notpla’s innovative seaweed-coated takeaway boxes will now feature the Earthshot prize logo. Tri-Star is proud to support Notpla’s mission to promote compostable and recyclable food packaging. By offering these innovative and sustainable solutions to customers, Tri-Star is committed to reducing the amount of plastic waste and promoting a more sustainable future.
