Leading German dairy company Hochwald has entered the fast-growing plant-based market with oat beverages packaged in SIG’s family-sized packaging, SIG Vita. According to Hochwald, the packaging solution is vital for the product concept and route to market, as it delivers high convenience and outstanding on-shelf differentiation.
Four new oat-based products will be available on German retail shelves under the trusted Bärenmarke brand, using SIG Vita 1,000 ml. Hochwald’s chief sales officer, Thilo R. Pomykala, stated that the market entry is a “milestone” for the dairy company, adding that the offering meets diverse consumer requirements.
With consumer demand for convenient family-sized packaging increasing exponentially, SIG Vita’s sleek and sturdy design offers a competitive edge for beverage manufacturers such as Hochwald. The packaging’s organic curve on the back of the pack makes it easy to handle for consumers of all ages, and its tethered easy-open and resealable closure, SIG TruCap Linked, ensures a smooth and easy pouring experience.
“We are delighted to be partnering with Hochwald again and jointly introducing our packaging innovation, SIG Vita. The SIG Vita family pack will help Hochwald differentiate their SKUs and spark consumer interest, setting the course for a new era of high-performance production in the beverage and food filling industry,” said José Matthijsse, president and general manager Europe at SIG.
SIG Vita is made with 100% FSC-certified forests and other controlled sources, and ASI-certified aluminum. As with all other carton packs from SIG, SIG Vita is produced with 100% renewable electricity and designed to be fully recyclable. It also available in polymers that are linked to renewable or recycled materials via a mass-balance system.
Hochwald’s entry into the plant-based space is a strategic move to expand their product portfolio and grow their market share in a rapidly evolving industry. The packaging innovation from SIG offers convenience, sustainability and differentiation for the brand, making it a promising partnership for growth in the plant-based category.
