This exceptional performance has earned SIG the platinum medal for the sixth consecutive year, reaffirming the company’s position in the top 1% of all organizations evaluated globally by EcoVadis. This recognition highlights SIG’s commitment to food and drink sustainability and reinforces its leadership in sustainable packaging solutions.

In a significant development for 2024, the EcoVadis assessment expanded its scope to include SIG’s recently acquired bag-in-box, spouted pouch, and fresh carton businesses. With this broader evaluation, SIG achieved remarkable success by scoring a flawless 100/100 in both the Environment and Labor & Human Rights categories. This accomplishment reflects a strong alignment with current trends in food and drink consumer preferences toward eco-friendly practices.

Stefan Dobrev, vice president of corporate development & sustainability at SIG, emphasized: “Our recent EcoVadis score is a validation of SIG’s leadership in sustainability. Achieving a perfect score in key areas like Environment and Labor & Human Rights underscores the dedication of our teams worldwide. This recognition strengthens our resolve to go even further as we work towards our ambition to contribute more to people and the planet than we take.” Such commitment positions SIG favorably within the evolving landscape of food and drink marketing, as businesses increasingly prioritize sustainability in their operations.
