Seda International Packaging Group stands out as a prominent participant in the upcoming exhibition “Design di Filiera. La Filiera del Packaging”, scheduled from March 3 to 22, 2026, at the ADI Design Museum – Compasso d’Oro in Milan.
Organized by ADI – Associazione per il Disegno Industriale – and UCIMA, this exhibition emphasizes the significant role of design throughout the entire packaging value chain. From machinery engineering and materials to innovative packaging solutions and recycling systems, it showcases Italy’s industrial excellence while highlighting the synergy of innovation, sustainability, and global competitiveness in the realm of food and drink packaging.
Seda is excited to present “Eco Fit – The New Generation Lid”, a revolutionary fully paper lid crafted to replace traditional plastic lids for hot and cold beverages. This product epitomizes a significant advancement in food service packaging design, where functionality, user experience, and environmental sustainability harmoniously converge.
Ecodesign and Integrated Sustainability
Constructed from certified renewable fibers, Eco Fit adheres to stringent ecodesign principles and has undergone Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) analyses to validate its superior environmental performance compared to plastic and molded fiber alternatives.
Fully recyclable within the paper stream and available in a compostable version, Eco Fit supports a remarkable reduction in plastic usage—offering a savings of up to 400 tons of plastic for every 100 million lids produced. This initiative significantly contributes to advancing circular economy models within the food and drink sustainable packaging sector.
Moreover, Eco Fit integrates seamlessly with Seda’s patented Double Wall cups, another notable innovation from the Group, reinforcing the company’s comprehensive approach to product design.
Due to its outstanding sustainability performance and the innovative consumption concept, the Eco Fit system was honored with the WorldStar Award 2023 Winner, the highest international accolade in the beverage category.
Design as an Industrial Lever
