Sabert Europe has launched Hot2Go – a fully recyclable, versatile packaging solution designed for hot food on the go, free from plastic lamination.
“We first introduced Hot2Go as a prototype at the annual Packaging Innovations show at the NEC in February – to ascertain market interest,” says Sabert’s UK&I Managing Director and European Commercial Director, Alex Noake. “The response was overwhelming, so we immediately moved to the next stage of development.”
The Hot2Go range is fully recyclable, multifunctional, and entirely devoid of plastic lamination. It is suitable for microwaving and conventional oven use, while being stackable and nestable. This innovative food and drink packaging solution provides exceptional performance for on-the-go hot meals and is also compatible with refrigerator and freezer storage.
Notably, Hot2Go is leak and grease-resistant, featuring excellent insulation properties. It is constructed from a unique FSC® certified and completely recyclable micro-fluted paperboard, ensuring sustainability. The design boasts a secure closure with integrated tabs and is available without a window or with a high-clarity film window made from recyclable rPET, comprising a guaranteed minimum of 30% recycled content.
The Hot2Go range offers four convenient off-the-shelf sizes: 500ml, 750ml, 1000ml, and 1200ml, all manufactured to FSC® certification standards. Furthermore, tailored solutions can be developed to meet specific needs.
